Oil: £98 a barrel. Petrol: approaching £2 a litre.

June 2008: oil hit £109 a barrel, yet petrol was just £1.09.

So we’re paying less for the oil but almost twice as much at the pumps.

If it’s not the oil price, who exactly is filling their pockets?

Why are the government and police fine with this on British streets?

Faces covered. Green headbands that look exactly like the ones Hamas fighters wear.

Hamas is a banned terrorist organisation in the UK.

Wearing clothing or items “in such a way as to arouse reasonable suspicion” of support for them is a criminal offence. People have already been convicted for it.

Yet this is still treated as normal. Why?

Ed Miliband recently stated that British North Sea oil and gas is priced by the global market and that the UK Government has no control over this.

He said, “I don’t know how I can make this any clearer. UK oil stocks are not priced by the UK. It is priced by the global markets that we are legally obliged to comply with. It’s international law”

His statement was clear, concise and robust.

It was also a load of crap. Or, if you prefer, incorrect.

The UK has the legal authority to price its oil independently of the world markets. This is supported by the UK Maritime Services Ban and Oil Price Cap, which allow the UK to set its own prices for oil and oil products.
The UK's oil price cap is a measure to restrict Russia's oil revenues, which are a key funding source for its activities in Ukraine. The UK's actions are part of a coordinated effort with the EU to impose economic pressure on Russia and support Ukraine. Readers will have noticed that since 2022 this has had little effect on the Russia/Ukraine war. Its still there with no apparent sign of a peace deal.
It has, however, caused the loss of significant oil revenue to the UK exchequer. Thusly, another move by the Labour government and Starmer’s ideology to take us farther back into the EU customs union benefits no one in the UK but just about every country on the planet except us.

The British Geological Survey (BGS) estimates that the minimum total volume of gas in the Bowland-Hodder shale in northern England is some 1300 trillion cubic feet. Probably much more. Certainly enough to provide gas derived energy security in UK for Generations.Exports would have the same effect on our nations wealth and economic growth over the next centuary.
It is the government’s view that we must take an evidence-based approach to developing shale gas in the UK, and to do that we need to test how much of the considerable potential in the UK’s shale resources can be technically and economically recovered.
But no effirts have been evident of that happening any time soon.
DRILLING
The UK's remaining proven and probable oil reserves in the North Sea are estimated at approximately 2.9 billion barrels of oil equivalent (boe) as of the end of 2024. Additionally, the North Sea Transition Authority (NSTA) has recently increased its estimate by 1.1 billion barrels, indicating a growing reserve with much more as yet undetected. It will remain undetected if Miliband has his way. Norway can then drill laterally into our oilfields and sell our oil to us. Milliband seems to have missed this.

& possibly ILLEGAL!

Folic Acid is a synthetic MAN MADE substance.
It does not appear ANYWHERE in nature.
& certainly not fresh fruit & veg.

This could have been a calculated move to convince shoppers that folic acid is a NORMAL & natural, nutritional benefit in fresh veg.

If (as I suspect) it is going to become the norm to label fresh fruit & veg as "Contains Folic Acid" THIS looks like CALCULATED campaign to deliberately DECEIVE innocent shoppers.
& I am sure, just might be, possibly ILLEGAL?

But the current gov't appears to be very unconcerned about "rules"
