@gamesblazer06 Weird, I’m doing the opposite. Equity valuations near dot com levels while I have a 6% interest rate on my mortgage. I think I’ll take the risk free 6% return by paying it down.
@paulswaney3 I think the reason this discourse is prevalent today unlike past generations is women’s increased presence in the workforce. Much of the “mental load” that could more easily be carried by a stay at home mom must now be shared by two working parents.
@TotemMacro@jayskywalker16@LukeGromen I figured this was due to their yield curve steeping widening NIM, expansive fiscal outlook generating expectations of further steepening + general risk on sentiment, and flows out of bonds into stocks.
@darioperkins 90s tech made a single person more useful, this time it allows one person to do the work of 10+ people. Look at the unemployment rate of recent grads. This also means fewer companies are necessary. Even the power demands are likely overestimated.
