You are happy to invest £200 in the Folie on a bottle of Rose but when it comes to £200 for lessons to improve your holiday it’s a no?
£200 on lessons may make that rose taste that little sweeter…
If you did 5 mins of daily extra work off the slopes per week = 35 mins out of possible 10,080 available that week.
If you go 🏂/⛷ in 9 months (next Feb). That’s 140 mins per month extra OR 1,260 mins.
And that’s if you only did 5 mins.
Imagine the gains for very little time
If you do not do the extra curricular activity throughout the year, your skiing or boarding WILL NOT improve or change in anyway for that one week of the year you do go away.
Read it again. Absorb. Take action
When you hit the slopes with a a group it’s easy to feel peer pressure. Go at your own pace, tell them if you feel tired and need a break and don’t take risks you don’t want to.
A few important lessons from 10 years of being a ski/ board instructor:
1) Take lessons no matter your ability
2) Ski/ board with friends on powder days it’s much more fun
3) Always ski/ board with better people than you. You’ll perform better and get better.
Not everyone picks up skiing and boarding first time. Some people find it difficult.
Some people also learn at 45 not 3 years old. It presents a different challenge completely
I’ve never understood why spend thousands on a FIRST ski trip when you’ve never tried it
Have a taster first maybe just do a weekend. Don’t build your holiday around the skiing. Enjoy the mountains, food and scenery with a little sport
Less pressure if you are shit...
Several pairs of socks do NOT make ski boots fit better. OR keep your feet warmer.
In fact - by wearing more socks this wrinkles up the pairs you have on. Therefore causing pain/ friction and stopping blood flow. Therefore making your feet colder.
