You’ve all been asking for the video. This is the moment I detained an assault suspect who was out-running police officers in Swindon on Sunday. 27-year-old local man Dale Jones has since been charged with assault by beating and possession of a class A drug. #ProtectTheProtectors
Surely losing your police hat results in a cake fine??? 🤣 I found this in a country lane in rural Wiltshire last night.
Given it’s a cake fine for getting papped by me without a hat on at a job, I can only imagine the level of cake fine for this…

@DontKeepPace@louderry Joanne has waived her right to anonymity and wishes to be named. However, it was to ensure he can be named so it’s not necessary to report her name every single time. It’s about him and his offending.
2026 brings new drone regulations — some good, some bad. For me, it means an upgrade from the mini series to an Air 3S. It’s a heavier and more capable drone with a much better camera.
@NormanBrennan@elonmusk Actually the police stated that there are not BELIEVED to be any suspicious circumstances but investigations are ongoing. I’m sure, and sincerely hope, there’s not more to this tragedy — but there could be.
@melfordman@BettyBoochichi2 Thought the same. And “my stomach lurched as the sirens wailed to life above us”… why are the sirens mounted on the roof? 🤔😂
A tragic story this. I attended the scene this morning (my photos featuring in this Daily Mail article). Hopefully investigators get to the bottom of what happened here. Awful.

@darren_toogood@journoseamus@journoseamus has only one person to thank for the tip-off… 😇 but top coverage by him on scene, covering from 10pm that evening until 10am the following day.
(5/5) This remains on my mind nearly 24 hours on; I sincerely hope that the man's loved ones did not see the photo - which has since been deleted. My thoughts are with the man's family and friends as this devastating time.
I continue to feel disturbed by my one of my competitor's inane decision to take a photograph of a dead body and publish it in a live blog. The man had been struck by a HGV and was lying in the road motionless. The publication is owned by a large media group and regulated. (1/5)
(4/5) Some will argue that publishing any imagery of serious/fatal collisions is not sensitive - but it is the role of the press to document such tragic events on our roads. Great care is taken when I am at a scene to ensure nothing graphic or indecent is broadcast to the world.
