@AnthonyRayGray@VandyonTigers Times change and it's competition. If you can psyche your opponent out with a celebration, then you're winning twice by also getting into their heads. Trash talk is much more disrespectful than celebrating, but has become more accepted because it's always been around.
@AnthonyRayGray@VandyonTigers Then you should definitely know this is how the DR guys play the game. Its basically cultural and people shouldnt be blasting Junior for being himself. They arent wrong for not subscribing to the "traditional American way" of playing baseball. Its just different, which is ok too.
@Not4Dmver This shit where people get hurt and take it personal when another person is just celebrating their own success has got to stop. If that's you, then you 1. Cant celebrate yourself 2. Work harder so people cant have these moments against you
@Not4Dmver Pounding your chest when you realize the ball stayed fair on what is an INCREDIBLE swing and taking your time rounding the bases and hitting a pose on home plate is not what you think it is.
@AnthonyRayGray@VandyonTigers Ok, so youre stuck in the past. Junior's gonna have a plaque next to those guys (barring some crazy injuries). So they are peers.
@Not4Dmver@VandyonTigers LOL how? Who did he say something to? Who did he taunt? You whine about the NFL celebrations too? Have a little fun, loosen up.
@AnthonyRayGray@VandyonTigers Ok, well Junior doesnt. So your real beef is with Junior the person and the way he expresses himself. Youre free to celebrate the way you'd like when you hit a homer to send your team to a WS. Calling a guy childish though cause its different then your choice?
@jeffryrpowell@VandyonTigers Nice take. Try to hurt the guy cause he's happy and excited and he took 39 seconds to celebrate a huge moment he's worked his entire life for with the fans and his teammates. Thumbs way down to you.
@AnthonyRayGray@VandyonTigers Celebrating with his teammates and the fans. I see zero ill intentions. This thought where we have to censor players or not allow them to be themselves is just old and frankly ridiculous.
@VandyonTigers This take is so fucking lame. He's celebrating his and his team's success. He isnt taunting or belittling anyone. Get over yourself that he doesnt act the way you want him to. Be yourself, Junior and congrats.
@JoeFla4@VandyonTigers Yeah because passion, caring, and excitement is exactly what baseball should remove from the game haha. Its even better if he gets a free base next time up haha.
@Not4Dmver@VandyonTigers Why? Who he tauntin? Who did he belittle? Hes not allowed to celebrate his hard work? Take a quick trip into his head. Is he thinking "I gotta make this pitcher feel small" or was it "Hell yeah, Im going to the World Series?" Let a guy express himself and enjoy his moment.
