Canada continues to oppose the expansion of settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem. Today, together with Australia, France, Norway and the U.K., we announced coordinated sanctions targeting those supporting extremist settler violence against Palestinian civilians. As we impose this fifth round of sanctions, we remain committed to a comprehensive, just and lasting peace where Israelis and Palestinians can live in peace and security.
