To some brothers of mine who are not bothered by what is going on in our local governments and cities, this is a “pit latrine” with out a pit that cost taxpayers UGX 73 million. Is this the Uganda we want? This is unacceptable.
My brother Simon and others on x , this is exactly why the #ExposeTheCorrupt campaign must continue. No one will stop this train. There are still a few hours and days left for repentance.
When you steal public funds, you will be exposed publicly. If you hate humiliation, don’t tamper with or misuse public resources. Every shilling belongs to the people and must be used for its intended purpose. Let us improve our public infrastructure, strengthen service delivery, and restore accountability in local government.
I sincerely thank the DISOs of Mbale and Bulambuli, the CID officers, the State House Anti-Corruption Unit, the DPC Mbale, RPC Twalla, the DPC Bulambuli, the outgoing Deputy RDC of Bulambuli, the RDC of Mbale District, and all patriotic Ugandans led by our General Secretary, Hon. Twalla Fadhil, together with all the Area Members of Parliament for Mbale and Bulambuli, who have supported the #ExposeTheCorrupt campaign so far.
I also appeal to all staff in the Office of the President, ISO, Crime Intelligence officers, RDCs, and every patriotic Ugandan to join and support the #ExposeTheCorrupt movement. Together, let us protect taxpayers’ money, improve public infrastructure, and deliver the quality services our people deserve.
Yesterday, I delivered H.E. President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni's condolence message at the funeral of the former Deputy Governor of the Bank of Uganda, Mr. Perezi Tenywa Bukhumune, at Ibulanku, Bugweri District.
H.E. the President was saddened to learn of the death of the former Deputy Governor of the Bank of Uganda, Mr. Perezi Tenywa Bukhumune. On behalf of the government and himself, the President conveyed his heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family of the late, friends, and all Ugandans.
H.E. President @KagutaMuseveni noted that the late was part of the team of patriots at the Bank of Uganda who supported the NRM's economic reforms after the victory of 1986. These reforms led to the stabilization of Uganda's economy by ensuring price stability, restoration of the production capacity of the economy, and rehabilitation of the economic and social infrastructure as well as maintaining fiscal discipline.
His Excellency paid tribute to the late on his patriotic contributions to the socio-economic transformation of Uganda while serving as Deputy governor and in other capacities.
The President commiserated with the bereaved family and prayed for the deceased's soul to rest in eternal peace.
For God and my country.
Today, I have reinspected the Mityana–Mubende Road to assess progress following my previous visit, during which I issued firm directives to accelerate works and address outstanding concerns.
Together with the @MoWT_Uganda's technical team and the contractor, we reviewed construction quality, compliance with contract specifications, and progress against the agreed timelines.
This road is a critical transport corridor linking Kampala to western Uganda, and we remain committed to ensuring it is completed to the required standards, on schedule, and delivers value for money to the people of Uganda.
Tewali budde! No time for nonsense!
We demand service delivery. Period.
4 districts completed. 142 to go.
We will reach every corner of this country.
To those serving our people diligently: we will support you to serve even better.
To those stealing public funds: take note. We are not polite and will deal with you decisively.
End of story.
Hon. Balaam was supposed to be the minister without portfolio, yesterday he was inspecting government schools and health centers to check out their conditions and services, today he has been on roads and bridges were he even arrested one engineer. Abasajja bali serious.
