Go see the new Spider Man in 3D. I usually don’t like going to Cinemark, but damn, this movie was made for digital and 3D screenings, and it looks really fun at certain times, especially the beginning montage with TV on the Radio playing in the background. What a treat.

The scary thing here is that IMAX can't build any more new projectors. (They apparently don't have a complete set of the engineering blueprints, most of the engineers who designed them have retired or passed away, and the parts supply chains have long since dried up.) So the goal for the foreseeable future is to upgrade and keep all the existing projectors running for as long as they can.

@venom1s Nolan made a point that IMAX is superior and that innovation in film still matters, hence the insanely sold out showings. Lmfaooo. These other theaters are part of the reason film making is stale and boring when you have near the same quality as Netflix on a 4k OLED TV.
