Father & husband first. Entrepreneur. I build software systems & integrate AI for businesses. I also test & automate trading systems in Python and MQL5.
I have been building with AI for as long as it's been a thing. Before this I devoted my spare time to learning to trade, and subsequently to testing and automating it through Python and MQL5.
Those skills changed the game for me, and they're what led me to founding an AI and software company. I also help others test and automate their own trading ideas the right way.
Wife and children come first. They're a constant source of strength and inspiration.
I believe my general direction, which is not always linear, will lead to a small, positive contribution to the world.
P.S. Amazing coffee is usually the answer.
@jurlycat I must admit, for most things I need to focus the phone goes away. But when building I don't even notice it buzzing. Maybe I'm being hypnotised.
To those building something alongside a 9-5 and family. How do you find staying disciplined with your attention. I have to constantly check myself to ensure I stay or present.
I genuinely believe the majority of people have no idea how big the AI revolution is going to be. It will impact more lives than the internet, the PC, the car, and arguably even the industrial revolution. In a decade there won't be a person on the planet (with phone access), who has not had AI integrated into their lives either personally, professionally, or most likely both. And it's coming whether you like it or not.
@AtifHussainOG A lucky year 1. Then years 2-5 were rough, but thankfully lost little. My risk management was always good thankfully. Hit a stride when I found automation in year 6. Though miss manual trading occasionally.
@_Ash_Trades_ And I would argue confidence in that plan, comes from rigorous genuine backtesting and/or consistent forward testing. Once you know the system works, and what to do during different regimes, you will be confident.
@fcuk112 Yh good advice. I keep Google notes on my phone and it's ridiculous. I suspect I'm probably undiagnosed ADHD with the amount that's written down π
How do you manage multiple ideas at once?
