@drjonesjnr@foxygames_uk For one, xbox is in a better position than Sega ever was and because without xbox PlayStation and the wider console market will get even more shitty.
@RjejRueu That's fake news.
There are over 35 million consoles and well over 100 million active users in the Xbox console ecosystem. There are only ~20 million Switch 2 consoles sold.
It's not a dev issue; there is money to be made on Xbox. It's a contractual issue.
@RjejRueu That's not true. Project Eve was announced for Xbox before Sony money-hatted the project. The Xbox consoles share the same graphics API as PC, and the game is on an older, more understood engine, not to mention that it's not a difficult game to run. It's not a dev issue.
@laker_real@Hergv2dk768@StellarBladeBR Why would I do that? It's not that big of a system to port, too. It doesn't take 100s of man hours and millions to do.
@Hergv2dk768@StellarBladeBR In my opinion, the game was ready from the jump, but with Sony publishing it, I would imagine they have a clause in their contract keeping it off Xbox for a set amount of time.
@Hergv2dk768@StellarBladeBR Two years to port a game over? It's not even that graphically demanding; it's an Unreal Engine 4 title. Why are we calling a spade a fork? We know what the issue is. There's a contractual agreement.
@Centristgamer@Kingkoopah020 Maybe they advertise well in America, but I'm telling you, as a global brand, it is nonexistent. There is no advertisement in Europe, for instance. Why isn't there an Xbox splash screen at the beginning of every single Xbox IP, including Call of Duty?
@Infi_Gabe95@KoreaXBOXnews There is no reason not to believe that the Xbox build of the game has been long finished, just sitting on a hard drive, waiting until they can legally use it.
@KevinRelms@Centristgamer@Kingkoopah020 I have been on PC since the early 90's, I had all the console from the big 3 from the start. This isnโt a matter of perspective. it's following the data.
@Centristgamer@Kingkoopah020 The Xbox problem started with the Xbox One generation. Back then, they hardly had any meaningful IP, but now they own Call of Duty. They need to push hardware to gain mindshare, not just in the US but globally.
@Centristgamer@Kingkoopah020 the catalog of IP was much smaller before they got into this problem, and there discussing increasing that catalog even further, which I think is the only move they can make. Stellar Blade is not on Xbox at the moment, but it is coming to the Switch 2. That isn't a XSS issue.
