Shut up. You cast the tie-breaking vote for the so-called Big Beautiful Bill, which forks over an extra $75,000,000,000 to ICE. Spare us your white woman crocodile tears. There is blood on your hands and a TWEET isn’t going to wash it off.
Spoke on background with two attorneys who have defended officer involved shootings.
Both have always taken their cases to trial.
After reviewing the events today, both said if it were their client they’d advise:
-Seek a plea deal
-Be willing to plead guilty to a lesser crime or a lower sentence
-Accept anything that isn’t de jure LWOP (life with out parole)
In other words, the guys who defend police officers shooting for a living, think this case is unwinnable.
They would try to defend his actions, they’d just try and lower the impact of the outcome.
Their main sticking point were:
-“I could argue shot number one and hope for an acquittal or a hung jury - but I can’t get there on shots 2 and 3”
-“A jury will not get passed the turning of the wheels”
-“Denying medics throws self defense out the window”
I'm a Marine.
Take it from me — the President's actions this week have been dangerous and disgraceful.
We trained and deployed to protect the American people — not to serve as pawns in Donald Trump's political agenda.
The American people and our military deserve better.
So, according to Republicans, attacking our Capitol & beating police officers with their own shields is “free speech” that gets you pardoned, but signing your name to an op-ed in support of Palestine is “causing a ruckus” that gets you deported.
Do I have that just about right?
Marcellus Williams, a Black man, was executed on September 24, despite credible evidence that called his conviction into question and widespread support for clemency. Governor Mike Parson refused to grant it.
Today, Parson commuted the sentence of Eric DeValkenaere, a white Kansas City police officer convicted of murdering Cameron Lamb, a Black man, after unlawfully entering his property without a warrant. DeValkenaere walked free.
A Black man with overwhelming evidence of innocence: Executed.
A white officer guilty of killing a Black man: Released.
This is more than a miscarriage of justice—this is systemic racism in action.

The amount of rape threats joking or otherwise I’ve seen on this app today punctuates pretty well why women have been expressing their fear & unease at the election results.
