Per the @FT: "The US Treasury intervened in yen exchange rates on Friday, marking the first time Tokyo and Washington joined forces to support the Japanese currency via outright purchases in nearly 30 years.
The Federal Reserve Bank of New York undertook the unusual move of conducting a sale of euros to buy yen on behalf of the Treasury, according to three people familiar with the matter."

People keep posting the absolute ETF AUM as if it’s proof of something. Yes, $23T sounds huge… until you remember the global equity market is worth roughly $150T . ETFs are still only a fraction of the market. Also, AUM isn’t just new money—it rises automatically as asset prices rise. Without the denominator, the chart looks a lot more dramatic than it actually is.
