Looking forward to meeting with and speaking to Oxford Photo Society Tuesday, 9th Sep!
I’ll be giving my talk ‘photography through the seasons’ and entry for non members is from 19:30 at Silver band hall, OX4 2FA. £5 entry.
Hope to see lots of you there!
Had a great morning recently photographing a showy water rail in the col conditions - not usually easy and still quite frantic even when showing well! @Natures_Voice@WildlifeMag@BBCEarth@BBCSpringwatch
As always I'm behind with my editing but here's a little set of sand lizards, take back at the end of May - what stunning creatures the males are at that time of year!

I'm so behind on editing so these aren't exactly fresh out of the camera! Taken back in march in the FoD - what a magical experience spending time with a sow and her litter of humbugs!
I'm really happy to have 3 photos feature in the @BWPAwards book this year - it was great seeing all the awarded photos in Bristol this week and congratulations to the winner(s)! Lovely to put some faces to names and talk all things photographer too!
The waxwing winter continues! Even with this many birds in the country it's tricky getting a good photo - you need the right berries, background and conditions. Wonderful seeing so many though - everyone should make the most of it :)
I’ve just seen 10+ waxwing flying lowish over Hitchin in the direction of this crudely drawn arrow! Worth checking berry bushes for anyone in that direction! @Hertsbirds
