Inopportune time to be overseas when this controversy on H67 broke and it appears that this took on a life of its own after the weekend…time to address some of the comments being made out here now that I have access to reliable internet.  This is going to be a long thread, so here goes:

Part II of H67 creates a pathway for internationally trained physicians to practice medicine in North Carolina subject to certain limitations and restrictions.  We join twenty other states – including Florida, Texas, Virginia, Idaho, and Tennessee – in streamlining this process and we have now created one of the most regulated state pathways to date that protects patients in North Carolina.  I’ll talk more about why that's important later.
