Galatians 3:13-14

Confession
Christ has redeemed me from the curse of the law. He was made a curse for me. The blessing of Abraham is on me through Jesus Christ. I receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

Believing Is Resting

As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the Lord is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.—PSALM 18:30

The Word of God is perfect, and it can meet every crisis of our lives. It holds the answer to every problem or need of our lives. If we trust that Word with all of our hearts, a quietness, or a rest, comes into our spirits.

Hebrews 4:3 says, “For we which have believed do enter into rest. . . .”

Believing is knowing that God’s Word is true and can be depended upon. We know that the Word of God is true. Philippians 4:19 says, “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” So we know in our spirits that every need will be supplied. We don’t have to worry or have anxiety. If we are worrying or anxious, then we’re not believing.

Smith Wigglesworth said, “If what some people claim to be believing doesn’t happen overnight, they’re ready to give up on it. That proves that they never did believe God to begin with. If you’re really believing God, you’ll trust Him until the end. And sometimes God will permit you to be tempted, or tested, right up to the hilt.”

Confession:
The Word of God meets every need and every crisis of my life. And as I trust the Word, there is a rest on the inside of me, in my spirit man. I know that according to the Word of God, I’m healed. So I rest in that fact.

NEW CREATION FACTS

Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. — 2 CORINTHIANS 6:14-16

In order to have strong faith, you must see yourself as God sees you — and you must say about yourself what God says about you.

In the scripture quoted above, believers are called believers, and unbelievers are called unbelievers. So you can call yourself a believer.
Believers are called righteousness, and unbelievers are called unrighteousness. Have you ever called yourself righteousness? That’s what the Bible calls you, so you are.

Believers are called light, and unbelievers are called darkness.
“And what concord hath Christ with Belial?” here the Church is identified with Christ. Christ is the Head, and we are the Body. Your head doesn’t go by one name and your body by another, does it? The Church is identified with Christ — we are the Body of Christ. Think about it. Let it soak in. What a basis for faith!

Confession
Because I am in Christ — I am a believer. I am righteousness. I am light. I am one who believes. I am the temple of God.

You Have to Believe Before You Receive

Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.—MARK 11:24

I remember saying to the Lord in my spirit, “Lord, this woman is the pastor of a church, and she’s standing in the way of some people here that need to be healed. Can I help her?” Sometimes God will speak to you in an inward voice.

But sometimes the revelation of the word of knowledge comes to you as a picture on the inside. That’s what happened in this case. On the inside of me, I saw the whole thing. I knew she wouldn’t be helped, but the Lord showed me exactly what to do to help the crowd.

I said to the woman, “Come back up here.”

She retraced her steps up the aisle and stood in front of me again. I said to her, “When are you going to start believing that you are healed?”
She said, “When I get healed.”

“Well,” I said, “why in the world would you want to believe it then? You would know it then!”

She said, “Say that again.” So I said it again. I never will forget it. The dear woman looked up at me, batted her eyes like a toad frog in a west Texas hail storm, and said, “Now listen, I’m not going to believe that I have something that my physical senses don’t tell me I have.” Well, what was her faith based on? Her physical senses! She was not believing with her heart.

I said, “Well, sister, you go sit down and do without it, because you’ll never get it.” She went and sat down, and did without it.

Now, the other people who were sitting there got what I was saying. So they came and received healing. A man from her church who was in the most desperate condition (he couldn’t walk by himself) was instantly healed. And not only that—but was also deaf and was instantly healed of the deafness.

Confession:
I believe that I receive my healing before I see the manifestation of it, because Mark 11:24 says to believe I receive WHEN I PRAY. I believe I receive healing now!

Look to the Word of God

Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.—JOHN 17:17

I was holding a meeting in Oklahoma, and several churches were cooperating. The associate pastor of the church where we were holding the meeting said to me one day, “Brother Hagin, why doesn’t Sister _______ receive her healing?”

“Well,” I said, “I don’t know. I don’t even know who Sister _______ is.” He went on to explain to me that Sister _______ was a pastor from one of the churches that was cooperating with this meeting. When he described her, I remembered seeing her.

He said, “She’s been in every healing line and hasn’t received her healing. So some of the folks from our church who need healing have said, ‘If Sister _______ can’t get healed, there is no use in us getting in the healing line.’

“I’ve known her all my life. She used to be Presbyterian before she was baptized with the Holy Ghost. One time, she was voted the most outstanding Christian among the Presbyterians in her part of the state. After being filled with the Holy Ghost, she built a church and pastored it very successfully. She is such a holy person, a separated person, and an outstanding minister of the Gospel. People are concluding that if she’s in the healing line every night and can’t get healed, they’re not going to get healed either.”

Well, that was wrong thinking. And that kind of thinking will defeat you.

Confession:
I think in line with God’s Word. I look to God’s Word as the authority in my life. I don’t look at other people, or the experiences of other people, to determine what is true. I look to the Word of God.

LOVED

I [Jesus] in them [believers], and thou [God the Father] in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me. — JOHN 17:23

When you know — really know — that God is your very own Father and you are His very own child, this knowledge will have the following effect on you: You will have as much freedom and fellowship with the Father as Jesus had in His earth walk, because God the Father loves you even as He loved Jesus! John 17:23 says so: “. . . and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.”

“I just can’t believe that God loves me as much as He loved Jesus,” some may say.

Thank God, I can! I believe it, because the Bible says it, and that settles it!

You and I can say with Jesus “. . . I am not alone, because the Father is with me” (John 16:32). Because if God loves me as He loved Jesus — and He does — then He is with me as He was with Jesus. I am never afraid, just as Jesus was never afraid. There is nothing to fear. What can man do to the man or woman whom God loves and protects!

Confession
God the Father is my very own Father. I am His very own child. And He loves me in my earth walk just as much as He loved Jesus in His earth walk. I can fellowship with Him just as Jesus did. I am free from fear just as Jesus was, for I am not alone. My Father is with me.

Listen to Your Spirit

For we walk by faith, not by sight.—2 CORINTHIANS 5:7

Sight is one of the five physical senses. We could say, “We walk by faith, not by our physical senses.”
I’m not preaching something to you that I don’t do myself. I mean, I’ve been in some alarming situations. I had a severe heart condition and an incurable blood disease as a boy. The doctor told me that I was going to die. He said, “Your white corpuscles eat up the red corpuscles faster than you can build them up or medically do anything about them. If you didn’t have the heart condition, if you didn’t have the paralysis, this incurable blood disease would prove to be fatal to you.”

Doctors said that to me when I was a teenager. Well, I learned a lesson as I lay on that bed. And years later after I was healed, when death came and fastened itself upon my body again, I started laughing. Why? I had learned to listen to my spirit. I had learned to let my inward man dominate me. I just started laughing out loud. Right in the face of death, I laughed. I knew death was upon me, but I started laughing in the face of death. And the Holy Spirit, who is in my spirit, rose up in me. I could feel Him rise up in me. He just drove death out of me. And my body began to respond.

Confession:
I walk by faith and not by sight. I listen to my spirit. In the face of seemingly insurmountable obstacles, I laugh. I know that my God is greater than any circumstance!

NEW CREATION

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature [creation]: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. — 2 CORINTHIANS 5:17

I’m glad I’m a new creature. I was only fifteen when I was born again, but I remember exactly what happened. Something took place inside of me. It seemed as if a two-ton load rolled off my chest. Not only did something depart from me — but something came into me!

The moment you accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior and confessed Him as your Lord (Rom. 10:9,10), you, too, were recreated. At that moment, the redemption which Jesus provided two thousand years ago became a reality to you. At that instant, the very life and nature of God were imparted to your spirit. You were recreated — born again!

The New Birth is not an experience. It is not a religion. It is not joining a church. It is the re-birth of your spirit.
When you were born again, old things passed away. In the sight of God, all sin and all of your past life were blotted out. All you had been — spiritually speaking — was blotted out. It ceased to exist. And you became a new man in Christ Jesus. God sees nothing in your life before the moment you were born again!

All things inside you became new. Your spirit was recreated. You passed from death unto life (1 John 3:14)!

Confession
I am a new creature in Christ. I am a new creation. I am recreated. The life and nature of God are within me. I have passed from death unto life! I am a new creature!

Transfigured Bodies and Transformed Minds

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.—2 CORINTHIANS 5:17

God does something with your spirit. You do something with your body and mind. God is not going to do anything with your body; He can’t. God is not going to do anything with your mind; He can’t. You have to do it. Now He will help you do something with your body and mind, but He won’t just do it on His own.

God does something with your spirit. What does He do? He recreates it. He makes it a new creature. Old things pass away and all things become new.
But you are to do something with your body and your mind. Remember, Romans 12:1 says, “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that YE present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.” You present your body as a living sacrifice, wholly acceptable to God. And then, you renew your mind (Rom. 12:2). You get your mind renewed with the Word of God.

God wants transfigured bodies and transformed minds. Many Christians let their bodies dominate them. That’s the reason they are sick. Disease and sickness can come in when you aren’t doing what you are supposed to do. Many Christians don’t take the time to renew their minds with the Word of God. They are still thinking like the world thinks. You see, your mind is trained to think negatively. From the time you were a child, your mind is trained that way. It takes effort on your part to retrain it by renewing it with the Word of God.

Confession:
God does something with my spirit. He recreates it. But I am supposed to do something with my body and my mind. I present my body to God. And I renew my mind with the Word of God.
