Hey guys it's hereā¦
and it's smoking hot! š„
We have officially opened as the NEW LONDON CAST of HADESTOWN on the West End!!!
Red carpet gala was fabulous after a perfect opening which was spectacularly received by the Hadestown audience!!! Thank you for such an amazing reception
Pics from the gala night:
My red carpet fashion with a nod to the role I play:
Persephone!
And with my partner on stage the lovely @shaun_dooley_ we have such a great time as Hades and Persephone - a real privilege to bring these characters you love to life!
And finally huge thanks and love to iconic dancer and friend @CAcostaOfficial who came to support me at the opening!!
(This has been a year of firsts (more to come) but this particular milestone has been more of a debut than ever:
My FIRST time as a DIRECTOR!!!
My debut production of āThe Marriage of Figaroā for Wild Arts is about to complete its National UK Tourā¦
I didnāt post anything in the lead upā¦because⦠honestly I was worried I might fall flat on my face.. or worse⦠make a boring show!
Then my dear Father passed away and I was frozen in time..
Then came other milestones (more posts to come) and I decided to let the tour and whatever reviews came in speak for themselves.
Iām really proud to say that itās been a resounding success: for me, for Wild Arts and for every single artist performing- many making role debuts! Their success was paramount to me as I know what it is like to give everything and hope it is felt deep in the hearts of the people you give to⦠I am so proud they have all had stunning responses as well as critical raves!!!
In every sense (and especially for the performers).. this was the start of something beautiful.
I am grateful to everyone involved. For their trust, their willingness to work hard, their openness in unpicking the very familiar stitches of āFigaro stagingsā woven into their personal fabric (performers know this but it is worth saying: this is no small feat!) and to my incredible team: @stanfield_laura Emma Large & stage manager Alice Bishop ā what an incredible journey itās been and⦠we did it and then some!!!! Love you all.
@OrlandoJopling and I bonded forever when we spent hours and hours on zoom together dwelling over syllables. We couldnāt let the translation not be good and I personally couldnāt let this translation not have the natural Italian musical pulses! Congrats also to the lovely music staff (Satoshi Iām looking at you!), and finally to our lead producer, Wild Arts founder Max Parfitt without whom this debut would never have happened: thank you ā¤ļø
We all laughed a lot along the way but we also worked really really hard- that combination always yields brilliant results that everyone is happy to celebrate!
I wonder what will happen next for me as a director ???
If anyone has any ideasā¦. Shoot! :-)

What a privilege to be invited to be part of the Royal Procession from Windsor Castle entering by carriage into Royal Ascot with Their Majesties The King and Queen for Day One of the 2026 races.
It was a huge honour and an amazing day spent with Their Majesties along with Their family and friends.
And.. an incredible view of the length and breadth of the stands filled with people.. a totally unique view only seen by the horses, the jockeys.. and by arriving in the carriage procession!
More pictures to come!

What a headline!
The passing of my dear Dad happened during a little career deviation experiment....
I have taken a first stab at... directing!
I wasn't sure whether to announce anything until i had actually found some proof in the pudding.. but certain press came to find me in my directing habitat and rode along with me in the most intimate space I know: the rehearsal room! Read attached to get a first look at my first time in the rehearsal room on the other side of the table!!
Thank you @jessicaduchen and @theipaper for coming to explore this new experience with me. Š„Š¾Ń Š¾Ń Š¾Ń Š¾

This is a realy hard post to make⦠and Iāve been delaying⦠as itās deeply personal to meā¦and hardly feels real even though we have been preparing for this moment.
My Dad, Christopher, has passed away and nothing will ever be the same again. There will be life before this moment and life after it. No matter how much time you have to prepare for the death of a parent, you are never really ready. In losing my dad our family has lost one of its 4 foundational columnsā¦and we are devastated.
He had been healthy all his life.. but in the last 3 years was struck down with a debilitating diagnosis of Multiple Systems Atrophy (MSA). Rare enough that there was no cure and little medicine to help.
But my Dad had zero cognitive decline and was quietly defiant till the end. He slipped away to the stars without even a murmur in spite of all our nurses and evidence saying it could be an agonising death. Instead he smiled in the face of this illness and said I will beat you even at that and go peacefully, not even a gasp.
Dadās biggest sadness was saying goodbye to Mum. He wrote me once saying:
āI am deeply grieved to be dying earlier than expected, given that Mum had taken so much care about our health since we got married in 1977, doing annual bloodwork long before it became common preventative practice. Iām so sad I wonāt have more time with Mum or get to see the grandchildren grow up. But overall I have come, kicking and screaming, to make peace with the long goodbye. Itās better than being snatched away in a traffic accident, or suffering through some long painful illness. A long goodbye of a different kindā¦ā
For half a century, my Mom and Dad weathered everything life threw at them. They were each otherās anchor.
Mom, your devotion over these fifty yearsāand especially during these last incredibly difficult yearsāhas been the ultimate definition of love. Dad was your wingman, and you were his sword and shield, his protector and defender, his advocate, and at the end of his lifeā¦you were even his voice when he could no longer speak. The journey you have shared over the last three years and the war you fought for him against this illness has been a privilege to witness. Truly for better or worse: devoted and by each others side till the end.
My manager of 20 years said, āI think your family kind of āwrote the bookā on expressing love for one another in real time, not waiting for the stressful moments; that was evident to me from the moment I met you all and everyone has seen that love deepen as you and Andrew grew into adulthood.ā
Knowing this to be true has comforted us all.. knowing that there was no words left unsaid and a lifetime filled with love.
My dear Dad, thank you for always smiling through life. Your last effortful smile to comfort me is etched in my memory for all of eternity. But even more than that is a lifetime of happy memories of a carefree and loving dad, whistling a happy tune, playing with us, jumping like superman, telling great stories from the bible or from your childhood, always finding the twinkle in your eye, always gentle, always proud, always ready to leap into the unknown.
I promise to hug and kiss the kids every night from you with āGlam Paās hugā as you asked and will tell them how much you love them. I will tell them your great stories⦠and how youāll be watching over us all, every step of the wayā¦
Rest in peace our darling Dad.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SIR DAVID ATTENBOROUGH!!
It is a privilege to know you, to spend time with you and your family, and to share in your passion for nature in our roles with Whitley Fund for Nature @WhitleyAwards
You are the beating human heart of the natural world⦠a beacon and a voice for the voiceless on our beautiful planet and it is no surprise that the earth itself, the natural world and all of humanity would want to keep you for as long as possible! :-)
Thank you for quite literally a century of passion and dedication. You have given the world so much!

Oh wow thank you 9Honey for the mention of this incredible @FollowWestwood and @vancleefarpels@aquazzura look for the @OlivierAwards 2026!!!
It was thrilling to win the first ever special Olivier Award this year for Outstanding Contribution to Opera !!
@cunardline
https://t.co/3Xp3lqYANl
One of the things that is unique about me is this artistic dichotomy, a yin yang of influences that have shaped the artist I am today.. and because of that I can sing in both Opera and the West End Musicals !!
So the @OlivierAwards is so incredibly special for me as itās the only ceremony where I can cheer on and celebrate so many colleagues from both parts of my life!!
This was a beautiful beautiful moment to meet up with Dame Elaine Paige after the ceremony and celebrate together.
She was HUGELY supportive of my West End debut in Man of La Mancha and has also cheered me on at my classical performances like Cinderella.
I spoke at the ceremony about how we need many art forms to give children the opportunity to access many different ways to express themselves.. so it was a beautiful surprise to hear in the amazing tribute to Dame Elaine that the first sounds of her voice were a beautiful young voice singing⦠Mozartās Deh Vieni non Tardar!
A perfect example of how important and crucial these multi genre influences are to not only our artistic enrichment but our artistic identity.
Dame Elaine if you are reading this you know how much your support means to me and to celebrate and tap Oliviers with you was highlight I will never ever ever forget.
Masssive congratulations to the one and only Dame Elaine Paige for her career Olivier!!!
