Stoner-Folk Artist spreading joy and laughter everywhere I go with original music, bluesy covers of Folk classics, and the tales of my travels. FREE Todd Snider
@aliciaandrz been following your sobriety journey from early on, and am happy to find you doing and feeling so well. I don't log on this platform often, but you are always there with your count and I feel good for you. Blessings! soon to be 26 years for me
@mariaxxnn Smile, wish them well, send loving and healing thoughts to them, forgive their toxicity, they have been traumatized in their life and have developed negative ways of perceiving and expressing themselves. Then try to avoid their presence unless you are able to do the above.
@samsraps a four beat rest. It's all about the space, the silence, that makes the music so beautiful and exciting by contrast. In general, the fewer notes I play, the better!
@knowlijmusic Good question. I used to say the studio because I had terrible stage fright I was in the process of overcoming. Now, I actually love playing live, especially with other musicians. I have never been in a band but Love jamming with friends.
@jimdukeproject @knowlijmusic ABSOLUTELY! I've become friends with one of my musical heroes, and we've talked about this. It has to be meaningful to the artist (IMHO) but the listener can take that and apply it to a million different possibilities of meaning.
@Shamanz_Shadow @knowlijmusic Keep doing it friend. You are spreading positive musical energy! Like seeds of meaning that will grow upon people listening.
@knowlijmusic Thank you. I need to hear that sometimes because some people close to me, while polite, obviously don't listen to or like my songs. That hurts. But others love my songs, so I need to remember to focus on those who DO like it and don't worry about those who don't.
@knowlijmusic I prefer making personally meaningful songs that may resonate with others AND create a fun vibe that's easy to listen to, so you "get it" on first listen. Easier said than done, lol.
