🚨 ROMANIA: POLITICAL CRISIS DEEPENS
George Simion says AUR will refuse to support another proposed government until Călin Georgescu is released from prison.
The confrontation between AUR, President Nicușor Dan and Romania’s governing establishment has now moved directly into Parliament.
With Georgescu detained and protests continuing, the political temperature in Romania is rising fast.
This story is far from over.
🚨BREAKING: More than 200,000 Romanian patriots demand their country back after EU cancel democratic result of ultra-nationalist.
Europe has had enough.
🚨 ROMANIA ERUPTS IN ANGER AFTER CĂLIN GEORGESCU IS DETAINED
Powerful scenes are emerging from Romania.
Crowds gathering.
Romanian flags raised.
Voices demanding answers.
The detention of former presidential candidate Călin Georgescu has poured more fuel onto a political crisis that has been building for months.
The video shows a large night time crowd packed into the street, with Romanian flags visible and people filming and chanting around them.
George Simion and AUR have publicly stood by Georgescu.
Simion has called for an end to what he describes as political persecution and abuses, while AUR says Georgescu must be treated as innocent unless and until a court rules otherwise.
Georgescu is now in 30-day pretrial detention while prosecutors pursue a fraud investigation.
He denies wrongdoing.
But the political consequences are already spilling far beyond the courtroom.
After the cancellation of Romania’s 2024 presidential election, months of political upheaval and continuing distrust of institutions, this detention has become another flashpoint.
And the images coming from the streets tell their own story:
a significant section of the Romanian public is angry, mobilised and demanding accountability.
Support for Georgescu is still visibly present.
AUR continues to stand beside him.
And George Simion remains one of the most prominent political voices challenging the way the Romanian state has handled this crisis.
The legal case must now run on evidence.
The allegations must be tested.
But politically, Romania is not calming down.
It is becoming more charged.
And every new arrest, court ruling and confrontation is deepening the question hanging over the country:
Does the Romanian public still trust the institutions deciding its political future?
Romania is demanding answers.
And these scenes suggest that pressure is not going away. @georgesimion@partidulAUR_RO
🇷🇴 George Simion: “Release Georgescu, or NO government.”
Simion is escalating Romania’s political standoff after Călin Georgescu was placed in 30-day pre-trial detention.
Simion says his party will refuse to support another proposed government until Georgescu is released, while claiming he was warned: “I’m next.”
Georgescu won the first round of the presidential election, which the Constitutional Court annulled.
He was then barred from running again, and there have since been several arrests...
HOW LONG WILL THIS POLITICAL PERSECUTION LAST?

Another government proposed by Nicușor Dan has FAILED to secure the vote of the Romanian Parliament.
We have not betrayed Romanian people, and we will not betray them!
We will not vote for any other proposal until Călin Georgescu is released from prison. FREEDOM 🇷🇴!
🇷🇴 I’ve been following what happened to Călin Georgescu since Romania cancelled the election he nearly won, and his story has taken a remarkable turn!
2 years ago, he came first in the opening round of a presidential election. Today, a Romanian court ordered him into pre-trial detention for 30 days.
The strange thing is that the case putting him behind bars now isn’t actually the case that made him famous.
Prosecutors allege Georgescu and two others persuaded a businessman to hand over €1.1 million for financing that never materialized. He denies wrongdoing.
Meanwhile, he is already facing two separate prosecutions connected to alleged national-security offenses and the promotion of Romania’s fascist-era figures.
So the political story that began with Romania cancelling an election has become something much bigger.
Georgescu didn’t become president.
Instead, he is now fighting the Romanian state on 3 different legal fronts at the same time...

Georgescu is Romania’s legal president. Those who cancelled the elections, the freely expressed vote, the definition of democracy, today jailed @CG_Romania. They used a corrupt justice system and manufactured forged dossiers. They are desperate because this man alone, was not afraid to talk to the Romanian people the way no other politician talked before. He is not afraid to say the truth as is, he is a good Christian, and his faith guides his decisions. He is a patriot, who thinks Romania and its natural resources should be for the Romanians. Last but not least he is a man of peace. This is probably what triggered the annulment of the elections. In a Europe who longs for war with Russia @CG_Romania mentioned the word peace. Romanian people will never give up on @CG_Romania. He is our elected president.
This is EU ,,democracy” if you are not a slave of Bruxelles you go to jail . Calin Georgescu is politically persecuted for 2 year because he win the election and want Peace for his country
@NicusorDanRO The arrest of Călin Georgescu raises serious concerns about political harassment and due process. Democracy needs independent justice, not political theater.
