@MartinJuza Sometimes you only have 3 friends but wanna game! Also lowers the barrier to entry. Players can graduate to higher skill drafts with more players after they get more comfortable. 8 player draft can be scary for new folks. Its 2025, attention spans are smaller these days.
@bsweitz123 Ben, they are called "previews", not "spoilers". Always love reading your design insights :) When passion meets production, great things always happen.
@fatoulema@Mengu09 There's no real need to gather and deliver. It's posts like these that the folks at wotc will be reading to help form a sense of the community opinion.
Wizards treats it's employees fantastically. I can't even mention how awesome it was to be able to take time off when injured or having a kid and being able to trust the folks back at the office to kill it despite your absence.
Anyways, best of luck and I'll miss you
It's been 7 years since I began this life changing journey at Wizards of the Coast. From being hired to contract on our first Modern Horizons set, to working on Duel Masters and then coming back to manage the competitive Play Design Team.
Sadly I cannot work remotely with such a schedule, otherwise I'd 100% stay employed as a Wizard. Thank you to both the folks that mentored me and my PD team for generally being such a stable and easy to manage group.
