@JaeFiction I really don't know why the "lesbian fiction is bad" myth persists. Especially now, when there's more sapphic fiction available than ever before in almost any genre. I can only assume these people don't know how to find good books in general.
@sassy_librarian That's incredible! It's so easy to feel isolated going up against hate, and I can only imagine how it felt to get this thoughtful show of support.
Sapphic books by Black authors out in 2024: https://t.co/oDf5sovEv8
Let me know if I missed any or made any mistakes!
Reminder: these all have sapphic main characters, but they don't all have sapphic romances.

Just found out an article of mine was cited in a paper called "And They Were Roommates: An analysis of 'straightwashing' history and its impact on modern meme culture, through exploration of r/SapphoAndHerFriend". Incredible.
@QueenOfRats There is so much pressure on social media to voice your opinion quickly and confidently about everything that happens in the world. It's taken a long time to realize it's always better for me to wait a few days until I actually understand the context before speaking (if at all).
@sapphicfrances So many! An Island Princess Starts a Scandal, Going Bicoastal, Bookshops and Bonedust, A Haunting On the Hill, What Stalks Among Us, Boys Weekend, The Low Low Woods, Bail & Oregano, Imogen Obviously, Forget Me Not— were there specific genres you wanted? Or just F/F romances?
@dancingofpens It shouldn't be true, and it's so infuriatingly unfair that it is. Your covers are all gorgeous, but Friday I'm in Love in particular, I always think about how powerful that must be for so many queer Black girls to see on shelves. You shouldn't have to trailblaze, but you are.
@QueenOfRats I'm fine with a negative review for a book, even if it's for purely subjective reasons, but saying no queer person is like this when it's written by a queer person, and then saying it is too terrible to even give away, that it belongs in the trash... 😬
