I met a 78 year old man who recently started sleeping at a park I take supplies to.
He broke his back working construction. When he got out of the hospital, he had been evicted.
A lifetime of his belongings had been thrown away by his landlord.
Homelessness is that easy.
This 2015 photo was taken by a paramedic in front of a hospital in California. It shows an ER doctor who stepped outside to cry for a moment after losing a 19-year-old patient. Minutes later, he walked back inside with his head held high, and continued on to his next patient.
I’m not goin for this “they were born in 2000s” shit no more. I was listening to James Brown and Mahalia Jackson out the womb. That’s like 3-5 generations before me. It’s these new parents fault for not cleaning the house with proper music.
