My phone hasn’t stopped buzzing all day with messages congratulating me on becoming a Junior Sergeant.

I’ve been reading every single one, and honestly, it still doesn’t feel real yet.

After 16 months of service, the only thing left now is signing a new contract with the Armed Forces of #Ukraine.

It’s a strange moment to sit in, looking back at everything that’s happened, and forward to everything still ahead.

Ukraine has given me more than I could ever put into words. The people, the resilience, the purpose, it changes you.

And the soldiers I serve with… they are the strongest, most selfless people I’ve ever known. It’s an honour to stand beside them every single day.

I’m incredibly grateful for this opportunity to step into the role of Junior Sergeant. Not just as a #Canadian who chose to be here, but as someone who believes deeply in what we’re fighting for.

And to everyone who supports me, through messages, donations, sharing our work, or just paying attention, thank you.

Every bit of it matters more than you know.

This isn’t just a title. It’s a responsibility. And I’m ready for it.

I’m from Canada, but the men and women I serve with here are my family.

Yesterday, I watched a video of one of my closest friends dying. There was nothing we could do to save him. That is the reality we are living in.

But there is something we can still do for the ones who are alive.

Every shotgun in our hands is a chance to stop a drone. Every shotgun is a chance for someone to make it home. A shotgun is not just a weapon here, it is survival.

I can’t run fundraising campaigns the way others might. We are limited to a Ukrainian charity, and even speaking about this carries risks for us. So today I’m asking for something simple, but powerful.

Share it so more people understand what we are facing. Share it so we have a chance to get what we need. Share it because right now, that is how you can help keep us alive.
