SENATE CONFIRMS KEVIN WARSH AS 17TH FED CHAIR IN MOST DIVISIVE VOTE EVER
The US Senate confirmed Kevin Warsh as the 17th chair of the Federal Reserve in a 54-45 vote today, the most divisive Fed chair confirmation in history.
Warsh, 56, replaces Jerome Powell, whose term expires Friday. Only Senator John Fetterman of Pennsylvania crossed party lines. Powell will remain on the Fed board as governor through January 2028.
A Morgan Stanley alumnus and former Bush economic adviser, Warsh sat on the Fed board from 2006 to 2011 and has publicly called for "regime change" at the central bank, including a faster balance sheet roll-off and tighter coordination with Treasury.
Markets are not pricing in the rate cuts Trump has demanded. Current pricing points to unchanged rates or even a possible hike by year-end as the US-Israel war with Iran drives inflation pressures higher. Warsh's first FOMC meeting is June 16-17.

@Waspapping_ They are making it dirtier just to make sure decent people like him are not participating, why can pastors in the south and middle belt participate in politics, but when an imam participates the whole country will be attacking him ?
