@LP_CLC@LithuanianGovt I was told growing up that my own great grandfather was a Russian serf who escaped from Russia to Lithuania to avoid being conscripted by the Tsar. He got married to a Lithuanian woman, traveled to America to find work, and eventually brought his family.
Prayers for Daniil.
"A serious liberty movement has to be able to say two things at the same time: the government should not censor bigots, and we do not have to build a home for bigots.
That is not hypocrisy. That is basic self-respect."
Amen!

@Kiehle4Congress@Sergio4Liberty Japanese kamikaze pilots were zealots. They were driven by an emperor-centered military ideology.
Learn the difference between patriotism and nationalism.
The statement of one ofour eyewitnesses, in her own words:
“I personally witnessed the entire situation. Multiple men AND women were egging him on, recording and DEFENDING his actions. The hotel staff, who also witnessed the entire thing, gave their statements to police which added to the validity of the arrest. I saw her with some papers in her hand, I'm assuming those are the magazines in question. I heard her say "I thought they were free?" (And they've been free all convention so it was probably a fair assumption). They then continued yelling at her "thief" and other shit I couldn't comprehend. All of a sudden, the dude wound up and open palm slapped her so hard people came running from inside other rooms because they heard it. I immediately jumped to action and yelled/asked him why the fuck he'd hit a woman? The people around started MAKING EXCUSES saying "she stole our property". The woman was sobbing and holding her face, and said "I thought they were free" again. I yelled "idgaf what she stole, that's not fucking proportional and what a pussy ass bitch move to hit a small woman". I made sure to turn my attention to the women recording and condoning his actions and asked what the fuck is wrong with them, pick me ass bitches. I'm so fucking done with feeling unsafe as a woman in this party because people refuse to stand up, even when they witness a completely unnecessary assault. Idgaf who hit who or whose side they're on. Wrong is fucking wrong. Anyone making excuses for this or claiming this was ok or proportional to whatever she was accused of is fucking gross”
@JaredWDrury First, from what I have heard, there is ample reason to doubt the accusation of theft.
Second, even if there were a transgression, force in response should be proportionate and no more than necessary.
Vengeance is unlibertarian and uncivilized.
@IdahoGunNut@redflameliberty@LPNH Loving your country isn't nationalism, it's patriotism.
A patriot loves their country without forcing anything on others.
A nationalist seeks to force their vision of national purity.
But even in the United States, there are two issues — and only two — that have always endangered the public peace.
What are these two issues? They are slavery and tariffs. These are the only two issues where, contrary to the general spirit of the republic of the United States, law has assumed the character of a plunderer.
Slavery is a violation, by law, of liberty. The protective tariff is a violation, by law, of property.
It is a most remarkable fact that this double legal crime — a sorrowful inheritance from the Old World — should be the only issue which can, and perhaps will, lead to the ruin of the Union. It is indeed impossible to imagine, at the very heart of a society, a more astounding fact than this: The law has come to be an instrument of injustice. And if this fact brings terrible consequences to the United States — where the proper purpose of the law has been perverted only in the instances of slavery and tariffs — what must be the consequences in Europe, where the perversion of the law is a principle; a system?

@Jumpx137@ChaseForLiberty What's happening in Michigan and Minnesota is people with disputes going to arbitration instead of the courts if both parties agree. For example, divorcing couples going to their imam instead of a judge. There is no "problem" to get ahead of.
@ChillyBillys@ChaseForLiberty Yeah, that's not gonna work. Because now you're telling law enforcement that they can screw up and kill innocent people who weren't in the way, and all they need to do is lie about it, and they'll get away with it.
@Sergio4Liberty "We can *disprove* the Non Aggression Principle through Aggression!" Only someone who has no understanding of principles could think such a thing.
