@JezClein@NeilA1878 Furthermore it’s his knife to a gunfight mentality, just like in his first spell, along with the vast recent success of clubs we deem to be bigger than that has not helped whatsoever
We had 12 yrs of the staring up from beneath the glass ceiling with our knife waiting for the gun fight, in the last 18 months Moyes got us to that ceiling again in good fashion, then simply did what Moyes does, and exactly what he did in his first stint
Everton’s season ended on 21st March, beating Chelsea 3-0, sat in 7th. The collapse since then shows a lack of character/ability to take that opportunity, as they finish 13th. Summer will tell if the Friedkins bought Everton as an opportunistic saleable asset, or for success. VG.
By far the most upsetting part of a shocking day - I was one of the tens of thousands who’d departed before this and I’ll regret it. Coleman deserves a full house cheering him on for everything he’s given for us and today was just disgraceful, I blame the former bungy man mainly
Am I going to get ridiculed for saying that apart from giving 3 or 4 extremely poxy free kicks to city in the first 10 mins, the ref was fine yesterday and had no influence on the result?
@CharlieBarnicle I think we got unlucky with the delay after the goal for the keeper for the goal as well as the Branthwaite stoppage. Unfortunately they reacted better and finished much stronger. Beto injury cost us, George was disappointingly poor and Barry was expectedly atrocious
Ever since that article by the old Brentford recruitment guy I’ve looked at Beto in a different light. Hopefully we can sign him a new contract and he can fulfil our needs #SpringBeto
@JDGEFC Think his attitude makes it 100 times worse for him, he’s finished here and most fans would be happy to never see him play another second for us
@DaveW_1878 I disagree - he’s pissed us off with his shirt attitude and needs it to be known, if he’s not interested in trying to win us back over then he knows where the door is!
@_EFCCarlos_ If we get in to Europe the signings like this are required to a) bolster squad and b) provide valuable experience and quality - he can play cb and cm and could have 3/4 good yrs left in him. His recent injury record is the only thing that’d put me off, assuming we make Europe
@TheAdrianDurham@JackLayzell VAR has made refs reluctant to make big decisions - this being a prime example. Agree he reffed well but still a terrible error in not giving a straight red, you can’t hide behind VAR as a) the ppl who run it are unreliable and b) it confuses the “on field decision” scenario
100% true this! So why now, when we are remarkably not a million miles away from a CL place, can we not stop cry arsing about anything possible, leaving the ground with 15 mins to go, and actually contribute in the same fashion as we did in them gloomier times?!
When we were on the verge of going down our fans came out in force and dragged this team over the line. Bus welcomes, flag displays, total support and defiance. This is little spursy's resale site for tonight. They deserve to go down! Tickets galore available.
Not every transfer is a instant success. There is another seasons next season. He may adapt, develop and feature a lot more next season. Just because it hasn’t gone perfect this season doesn’t mean he cant still be a success
