@Potatoroboros@SwampDonkei@PoopFromDaButt Again, this isn’t your main source of defense. If you get mugged, go for the pistol. This is more along the lines of something you’d keep at work incase of an active shooter or something.
@Yungnosferatu1@Sharkastic2246@PoopFromDaButt So it doesn’t replace your defensive handgun. It gives you additional capabilities on top of that. Your handgun should still be your primary means of self defense. This is just one possible way to complement it. IMO anyway.
@Yungnosferatu1@Sharkastic2246@PoopFromDaButt So I mean, to me, I think most people are better served with a handgun that they can draw quickly and are extremely proficient on. This is a gun maybe for a different scenario: one where you see the threat coming and need to bring more firepower to bear.
@Yungnosferatu1@Sharkastic2246@PoopFromDaButt The single most important aspect of a defensive firearm is actually having it with you. This allows that. I have no need for it, myself, but if I knew someone out there wanted to hurt me? Or if I lived where random ambushes were more common? It would be worth considering.
@er__cl@SwampDonkei@PoopFromDaButt What do you mean make them more accessible? Short rifles, folding rifles, etc are not a new concept. Been around for decades. They have all kinds of purposes, fit in a bag for hiking, fit in a truck as a truck gun, gives security minded people more capability they can conceal…
@Potatoroboros@SwampDonkei@PoopFromDaButt Gives you a way to get a lot of lead on target very quickly if you were to be ambushed by multiple attackers (which is an increasingly common thing)
@RasslinWalrus@SwampDonkei@PoopFromDaButt A foldable shotgun has tons of valid, legal uses. I prefer my foldable 11.5 inch AR-15, but being able to bring that much firepower along is nice.
@cookeychristy@FalconryFinance My neighbor builds portable hog traps, sets them up, then dispatches dozens of wild hogs. Multiple times a week. A normal farm pig is a harmful feral pig in just a few days.
@RJacks_0123987@seaofgodss@FalconryFinance There was a guy in my home town who put a 9mm under his chin, and when it went off he flinched, and it traveled perfectly up the front of his face just under the skin. He looked wild. And survived.
