Video editor for DTC brands. Helping brands scale through Ecom ads, product videos & creative testing for Meta and Tiktok 🚀 DM if you need performing creatives.
Most Ecom brands don’t need more “content.”
They need better creative strategy. For this concept, I didn’t start with:
“How can I make this look cool with AI?”
I started with “What does the customer need to feel before they care about the product?”
Problem → frustration → desire → solution.
The claymation is just the execution. The strategy is what makes the creative sell.
@KevinCreatives_ The volume thing is real but so is the brief.
Half the “70 concepts” i see never had a proper brief behind them, just a reference video and “same vibe”.
that’s why nothing scales tchh
Whenever a brand complains about "ad fatigue" what they usually mean is that their winner only had one core message.
You know the drill: Frequency goes up, CTR starts sliding, and the team decides it’s time for a "new look." But most of the time, the visuals aren't the issue. The account has just been hammering the exact same claim for weeks, just dressed up differently.
Changing the face of an ad is not a refresh. Calling out a new frustration is.
Rule of thumb before you brief your editor. If you cannot sum up the new angle in one line, you're about to waste budget on costumes instead of creatives.
@thedanielokon This is the split a lot of supp accounts are about to feel. The ads that keep spending won’t be the ones with the craziest story. They will be the ones that still look native after you strip the fake plot.
Free tools are fine for a quick 5s product image animation if you are just testing whether video can beat a static.
But they tend to fall short becauss the hook can be generic or the product does not actually get demonstrated.
If the goal is to test more creatives without spending more on tools, I would rather make one solid 10s master and spin out couple hook variations than jump between 20 different AI tools.
@johnhickey1970 For brand supplied footage with no concept, the price really depends on whether you're paying for the idea or the edit.
If the editor has to come up with the concept and script too, that's more of a strategy + editing job.
Do you usually price per concept or per finished ad?
I agree if “more ads” just means 40 versions of the same claim.
The scalable version of “less ads” is fewer core concepts, but more hook and format variations.
For example, one tee-proof concept could become:
1) UGC talking-head
2) Silent product-first
3) 6-second cutdown
Same core idea, different executions. That way you’re testing more without constantly reinventing the concept.
Everyone’s been talking about singing ads lately
Instead of making another ad that’s just visually impressive, I wanted this to actually feel like an ad. Something that grabs attention, tells a story, and makes the product memorable.
Would you let your brand sing? 👀.
Still testing and improving the format.
If you're an ecommerce brand that needs fresh ad creatives, DM me.
A lot of “the hook is weak” notes are actually:
The caption is decorating.
Spoken line: “I was tired of feeling bloated.”
On-screen text: “NEW FORMULA”
That’s two ads fighting.
Rule:
The first on-screen line should be the same sentence as the spoken hook, or a sharper version of it.
Not the brand name!
Not “wait for it”!
Not a joke that needs the next 8 seconds!
If I mute it and the caption still names the broken moment, the cut can live in a scroll.
Same body. New hooks. That’s the real Andromeda play.
A lot of teams rebuild the entire edit for every variant, then have no idea what actually worked! The angle, the hook, or the new motion.
You don’t need to reinvent the ad every time.
The animation is the last 10%, Brands just need to stop treating it like the first.
A founder asked if i'd created an ad in German before.
I hadn’t.
So I took this Pixar style ad, adapted it for a German-speaking audience, and sent it over.
He liked it.
Still testing and refining the creative, but that is exactly how i approach new markets: create → test → improve.
If your brand needs localized ecom ads in German or other languages, shoot me a DM.
The list is right but the video seat is the one most teams fake.
An “ai editor” who only reruns the same ugc hook isn’t a seat. The job is shipping new angles fast enough that the media buyer actually has something to kill after $100.
That’s the whole lean-team model, not more headcount, more testable concepts
@merz_franz The 20-40% is real but only if the account actually has enough distinct concepts to allocate into.
Most “chad media buying” is just spreading thin creative across more ad sets. structure looks smart, spend still sits on 2 winners.
@DalyDee___ The “what it needs to say” is the whole game! Nice work.
Curious, When something finally works, is it usually a better hook, a clearer mechanism, or just speaking to a more specific pain?
This particular founder wanted one video to test 5 hooks.
So the first 12 seconds became a slideshow of opening lines, and by the time the actual ad starts, people have already scrolled away 😐
A hook is a door. You don’t put five doors in one hallway and call that a test.
Give each hook its own cut. Let it run. See where people hold, where they tap, and where they leave.
Then kill the weak ones and move to the next.
