Simon Andriesz, the whistleblower who found emails showing business dealings between Jeffrey Epstein and Trump’s Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick has died months after giving the evidence to the US House Oversight Committee. #OpDeathEaters

Andriesz found the emails after searching roughly 3.5 million pages of Epstein files for Lutnick's initials, “HWL”. The records showed Epstein and Lutnick discussing Adfin, a start-up in which both had interests, in 2018. Andriesz had also approached the FBI in 2020 and 2021 with concerns involving Epstein, Lutnick, BGC and Cantor Fitzgerald.

Before his death, Andriesz publicly described years of retaliation and said regulators had failed him. The UK's Financial Conduct Authority has since admitted that an official wrongly told him he had lost whistleblower protection after his identity became known. UK MPs now say his case raises “deeply troubling questions” and are demanding independent scrutiny of how the regulator treated him.

But the questions he raised remain: Why did a whistleblower have to search millions of documents himself to uncover the emails?

What happened after he approached the FBI?

Why was he wrongly advised about his whistleblower protections?

And what happened to the evidence he handed Congress?
