Newcomers to any discipline are often unaware of even seemingly obvious safety considerations.
They also often look to more experienced folks as examples of how to do things.
A little extra ongoing clarity about safety practices makes for fewer messes to clean up later.
@Trancelot @RedPubDefndr @Chase_Observes@esjesjesj@ZAught1@ColinDMcIntosh It’s true though… I could care less. However, the fact that I have to specify that fact is a rather damning point in its own right. Also if you read it sarcastically, it works without any additional justification.
“I could care less, but it wouldn’t matter.”
@mouseyphia Followers, please! When you start theming your followers, as a hypno account, it gets a lot harder to tell where the line is between fantasy vs things you’re actually encouraging people to do.
Plus, not everyone who likes your content will identify with, say, puppets.
@Rae_Raquirrel I’m actually really curious about how you handle pretalk, safeties, and cleanup for stuff like this, especially at cons/events. Do you mind sharing a bit about how you make sure it stays a positive experience for them after you part ways?
@abookofsymbols I tend to prefer REBT for that reason, among others. It seems to allow a little more space for resolving things instead of just suppressing them.
