On Boxing Day, my mum was diagnosed with leukaemia. This has since been referred to as 'quite a shit Christmas present'.

In her name and in that of raising money in the fight against cancer, I'm dragging myself through a 10k run in three weeks, with no experience or training. I expect to use less than 1% of the energy, courage and spirit my mum has shown since Christmas.

No pressure to donate, as appreciated as that would of course be, but any likes or reposts to spread this as far as possible would be hugely appreciated

After nearly 18 months, I’ve made the decision to step away from my role as Head of Media at Basford United.

As part of this exciting new partnership, LEAM Digital will become the club’s official Digital Partner, overseeing and supporting all football club media operations as Ilkeston Town FC continue to strengthen and modernise the club’s overall digital presence.

The partnership will see the welcomed return of Danny Draper and Jake Roberts to the Microlise New Manor Ground, having recently worked together as part of the media team at Basford United. Danny will take on the role of Head of Media & Marketing, while Jake joins the club as Media Executive. The club will also welcome Dave Morley as Club Photographer with more additions to be expected as part of the expanded media structure.
