I've never seen this before. Beautiful pencils! I declined inking a big John Byrne project, but seeing these pencils brings me a bit of regret and FOMO.
The original Xenozoic story by #MarkSchultz that ran in DEATH RATTLE #8. It’s a pretty solid one that does a good job of introducing the premise. Neat to see Schultz’s art still developing. And I see so much Jack Davis in his art in this. I’d never picked up on it before. 1 of 4
Sam Kieth,my old friend since 16 and comic art genius has passed away.
He was instrumental in bringing me to DC and changing the course of my career. He also introduced me to my wife ( a cute little blond he described her as)and changed the course of my life
God rest his soul.
Our feature artist/tutorial today is this beautiful pencil test by the talented @GlenKeanePrd! This is a phenomenal example of how you can TRANSFORM the SILHOUETTE of you character DRAMATICALLY using POSE and OVERLAPPING ELEMENTS to make those KEY HOLDS POP with CHANGE! #anime
“People who dismiss my work because of the subject matter haven’t looked at it. I’m not pretending that I am great painter: I don’t think I am. I think there are plenty of people that paint better than I do. What I think I’ll be remembered for is my imagination, for my sense of drama, and for not being afraid to take a chance.” - Frank Frazetta”

Frank Frazetta’s dynamic artwork for 𝑳𝒖𝒂𝒏𝒂 (1973) graced the official U.S. one sheet movie poster. The film, also known as Luana, the Girl Tarzan, was an Italian adventure picture inspired by jungle fantasy themes. Frazetta’s poster is remembered as one of the highlights of the film’s promotion, bringing far more energy and allure than the movie itself. #FrazettaGirls
