I feel for the BBC having to cover up to at least the Last 16 or Quarter Finals from Salford think this will be the way forward now with the Beeb flying out from the Last 8 to the Final but ITV view is amazing

As ITV unveil there super-snazzy Brooklyn studio for the World Cup I do feel a bit for the BBC who will broadcasting games back in Salford.

The location will have cost ITV a fortune and the BBC can’t win… if they go then there is criticism every day about the cost and, if they don’t go, they get hammered for staying at home.

Must feel very distant at the moment though.

My 9th @FIFAWorldCup was in a pram for my 1st one when Brazil won their 4th World Cup on Pens v Italy in USA 1994 was in France pre tournament 1998 for the 1st proper one I watched
