Of the many laughable, offensive & stupid things the Wireless festival organisers have said over the Ye fiasco, this one is beyond satire "As with every Wireless Festival, multiple stakeholders were consulted in advance of booking YE and no concerns were highlighted at the time."

The police and Ministers should be encouraging people to keep coming forward but the statements being put out do not do that. The consequence may well be real world harm, an undermining of the lessons learned from the Stephen Lawrence inquiry and a future u-turn. Disappointing.

The change to Non-Crime Hate Incidents today is ill considered. The report of the College of Policing is one of two that were produced with different narratives. The College did not consult properly and this new approach will likely disinsentivise people to report. 1/2
