Before having children, remember this: parenting is no longer about you. It’s about the human being you’re bringing into the world.
Children don’t choose their parents. The quality of their lives is heavily influenced by the choices we make before they are born.
Choose your partner with your future children in mind—not just chemistry, attraction, or excitement.
Ask:
Who are they when they’re scared?
When they’re broke?
When they’re wrong?
When life gets difficult?
Your child will grow inside the environment you both create.
Many of us are carrying wounds we didn’t create.
Beliefs like:
• Money is hard to get
• Rich people are wicked
• Suffering is spiritual
• Struggle is a badge of honor
Unhealed beliefs often become inherited beliefs
Another wound is poverty normalization.
Accepting bad roads, poor healthcare, corruption, insecurity, and dysfunction as “just how Nigeria is.”
Not anger. Acceptance.
When people stop expecting better, systems stop getting better.
Our leaders didn’t appear from nowhere.
Many were raised in environments that rewarded survival, power, and domination rather than service, accountability, and empathy.
A nation’s leadership often reflects what its culture repeatedly produces.
Want to change Nigeria? Start inside your home. Raise a child who knows who they are, thinks critically, loves healthily, values integrity, and refuses to normalize what should never be normal. Multiply that by millions of families and cultures shift, nations change. 🇳🇬
