@FedExHelpEU Hi, I should have had a package delivered on Friday, but it never appeared and no card was left. It should be coming on Monday but I will be at work. How can I arrange a safe place for it to be left?

In 1985, British Rail's ad agency JWT made this live action TV ad using Flying Scotsman and an InterCity 125. Filmed nr Settle, Yorkshire, it explains the truly vast scale of British Rail's daily operations (each day, trains ran the equivalent of going round the globe 22 times!)

In 1952, for the funeral of King George VI the coffin was carried from London to Windsor not by road hearse, but by train, from Paddington.

Between 1992 and 1994 I built a model engine with a late friend, Roy Bailey, to run round our garden. In 1998, it went 'missing'. Half a lifetime later, it has been rediscovered and I get it back next week. Overjoyed is an understatement!
