I’m legitimately curious why there are no expectations whatsoever on Hamas, the Government of Gaza, to come to the table to ease the conditions of its own citizens. Surely, releasing Israeli hostages, turning over the terrorists responsible for the slaughter of innocent Israelis and laying down weapons, especially those hidden in civilian infrastructure like schools and mosques, should be conditions immediately communicated by the international community .
