"Tonight, as we stand on the edge of our 250th year of independence, I am thrilled to declare that AMERICA IS BACK... This is our heritage, this is our history, & this is the destiny of America: to be the greatest, most incredible country to ever grace the Earth." - POTUS
@Milajoy Who travels the world from a child to adulthood and doesn't readily have a birth certificate or US passport? Hillary leaked the birthing scandal during the 2008 primary, not the republicans. She knew.
Whom the gods want to destroy, they first make mad.
Back in 2017, my father settled one of his apprentices with ₦3,000,000 and even rented a shop for him. The young man had served him faithfully for years, so he deserved it. In fact, on the day of the settlement, other traders in the line contributed money for him because he had built a reputation for being hardworking and well-behaved.
A few weeks later, my dad expected to see him operating from his new shop, but there was no sign of him. Concerned, he reached out to find out what was happening. The young man revealed that he had already re-rented the shop and was processing his visa to travel abroad.
My father did everything he could to convince him to reconsider. But he had already made up his mind. So he paid deaf ears.
Three months later, he returned with his parents and some village elders to beg my father for help.
As expected, my dad listened patiently. Then out of the kindness of his heart, he told them the only help he could offer him was for him to come back and serve him for another six years.
They felt disappointed and left with the impression that my father was a wicked man.
Please judge this 🙏, was my dad really wicked?
@kenkenlewu They contributed ₦1.2 million to help him escape unemployment.
My guy used it as a sign that the economy was stable enough for marriage. Sometimes the problem is not a lack of help.
It’s a difference in priorities.
My coursemates and I contributed ₦1.2 million for one of our classmates who has been jobless for the past 6 years.
We raised the money to help him learn a skill or start a small business so he could get back on his feet.
Just last week, he sent his wedding invitation in the group.
The whole group went silent.
When we asked him why, he said since he now had “a little money,” he decided it was the right time to marry his girlfriend of 4 years.
We said nothing.
He sent another message:
“Guys please, I can’t do this alone. My wedding budget is ₦3.2 million. I need your support.”
They removed him from the group immediately🙄
Nigeria's population: over 200 million people.
Functional PCI-capable Cath labs that can save someone suffering from heart attack is approximately 12. Most of it is in Lagos and Abuja .
There is little to none in the northern state , so if you are in the north and you have a heart attack , surviving it is very slim except if it’s not STEMI.
Most of these Cathlabs are privately owned, so an average masses can’t even afford it.

My best friend called me this evening around 4 p.m. to say he was having chest pain and sweating profusely. I immediately told him to go straight to the hospital. Fortunately, his neighbour was around and rushed him to a nearby hospital.
Unfortunately, that hospital didn't have an ECG machine, so he had to be taken to another hospital. An ECG was done and, when I saw it, it showed a classic heart attack (Anterior MI).
I requested that they start him on Aspirin while transferring him to the teaching hospital, but sadly, they didn't even have Aspirin available. I then told them to rush him to the state teaching hospital. When he got there safely, they were finally able to start him on Aspirin.
However, they informed his friends and neighbours that they did not have a functioning cath lab that could have helped save his life. While I was trying to arrange for him to be moved to Lagos as quickly as possible, my friend died in the ambulance on the way there. It's about a five-hour trip. I was on the phone with them throughout, and this happened about three hours after they left the teaching hospital.
I was supposed to meet this guy next month in the Netherlands.
Nigeria really did me dirty today. How can an entire state not have a functioning cath lab? How? 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
I'm so broken right now.
This is why some women look older than their husbands. Husband will give you money to buy clothes you will tell him the ones at home still looks new. You will not buy body cream you prefer shea butter. You convinced yourself so much that skin care products is bad. Your hubby is looking fresh you are using all your money to cook soup continue
Your husband gave you money to make Boho braids because he saw them on his colleague's wife and liked the style. You collected the money, went and made simple cornrows, then used the balance to cook a pot of soup. 🤣🤣🤣
In your defense, spending all that money on hair is wasteful when there are more important things to do with it.
President General of all righteous women 😂
Hi Renè,
You're in luck. I'm a lawyer who works in a mortgage bank
There are four options, three of which are government empowered.
1. Nhf: As an employee, by law, a percentage of your income is expected to be remitted to your housing fund with the Federal Mortgage Bank. You can use this to access various mortgage options.
2. Family Home Funds Limited: This is an initiative backed by the FG. Their rate is between 12-15%. This is mostly accredited by Mortgage Banks. The maximum they can finance is 100 million, and they are largely focused on females as well. Once you get approved, you have a moratorium for the first 5 years (i.e., you will only start repayments after 5 years)
3. MREIF - This is a package created by ARM and the Ministry of Finance. Their rate is 9.78%. They have the lowest rates. To access this, you would also need to go through accredited banks.
4. Banks: Commercial and Mortgage Banks give this. Commercial banks have lower rates because they are allowed to carry out multiple activities. Their rates are usually between 12% and 20%. Mortgage Banks, on the other hand, have rates from between 24% to 35%.
Note that the interest rates are largely affected by the monthly MPR issued by the CBN. Also, the products financed by the government are temporary, so a stitch in time saves nine, and they are not guaranteed, which is why I advise that you just get bank products instead.
What do you need
1. Good credit rating
2. Equity: For government workers, you must have at least 33.3% of the total sum of money needed to purchase the property, while for Non Government employees, it's 50%.
3. A validly registered property.
4. Your age matters as well.
5. Management Fee (usually between 0.5% to 1% of amount to be borrowed, usually take from the sum requested) and Administrative Fee (usually between 500k to 1m)
Total Mortgage Processing time is between 3 days and 5 weeks. My mortgage bank does 2 weeks. The speed is dependent on your production of requirements.
Some of my bank's mortgage products include
1. Rent to Own
2. Home Renovation Fund
3. Equity Release
4. Normal Mortgages
Etc.
