The book fair has come to Danson! Mrs Stephens has been working hard all week organising the book fair for the children. We have our book helpers who will be assisting with the selling of books and will also be running other fun activities. Make sure you come along. #WorldBookDay

It was Safer Internet Day today. The children had special visors from Bexley Grammar. Students in Y12 came into Danson and did an assembly for children in KS2 about how they can be safe online.

Danson Gets Moving! This is happening this Friday where everyone will be taking part in a fitness circuit to keep fit and raise money for the school.

The book fair is coming to Danson! The children are all excited again to welcome the Scholastic Book Fair back to the school.

Today starts the beginning of Children's Mental Health Week. The theme for the week is 'Know Yourself, Grow Yourself'. At Danson we have lots planned for the week and the mental health and wellbeing of all children is so important to us as a school community. @Place2Be

A few weeks ago, Y4 had an Egyptian day where they took part in a range of activities from writing hieroglyphics, soap making and bread making.

A few weeks ago, Y6 had a fantastic Ancient Greek day as part of their history topic. The children had a great day learning about the Ancient Greeks, taking part in many different activities.

Sergeant Goodwin came into Danson and spoke to the children about the rule of law. The children in Y5 & Y6 were very interested and had loads of questions for him. #britishvalues

Victoria class in Y5 had a great time visiting the planiterium at the Greenwich Observatory last week. The children went on a tour of the museum and then saw a space show in the planiterium itself.

Some of the children performed songs to their parents this afternoon. They were amazing and the crowd loved hearing all the children. It was a lovely ending finishing with the song 'Last Christmas' #christmasisnearlyhere

Such a wonderful afternoon at Danson. Today was the Community Carol Concert. The children performed Christmas carols to people from across the community. Y6 were on hand to serve mince pies and tea to everyone even the Madam Mayor of Bexley and Madam Mayor of Swanley. Well done!

The children had a fantastic time today visiting the COOP in Blackfen as part of their geography unit about Fairtrade. They learned about different foods that were Fairtrade and why this is so important.@FairtradeUK @FAIRTRADE @The_GA
