Early this week I got a knot in my stomach when it looked like paperwork might delay hubby's return to work. Yesterday I opened a prayer book I downloaded years ago. It reminded me uncertainty brings feelings that can teach us. Grateful God sped things up; he’s back at work.

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office and Bartow Police Department are currently investigating an officer-involved shooting in Bartow. A PCSO deputy and BPD officer were shot--they have both been transported to the hospital, and are said to be in good condition.

The suspect was also shot, and has also been taken to the hospital.

Sheriff Judd will brief the media this evening from the scene at 7:00 pm. .

The media should go to Ft. Blount Street, just off North Broadway Avenue in Bartow, behind the Publix (French Golden Gate Plaza). There is a grassy area where media can park.
