OPFY AIR STRIKES DEGRADE TERRORIST STRONGHOLDS, SUSTAIN OFFENSIVE IN NORTH-WEST

The Air Component of Operation FANSAN YAMMA Sector 1, has sustained relentless air operations against terrorists and armed bandits across the North West, delivering precision strikes on identified criminal enclaves while intensifying intelligence, surveillance and armed reconnaissance missions in support of ongoing joint operations. The coordinated missions, conducted on 18 and 19 June 2026, underscore the NAF's unwavering resolve to deny criminal elements freedom of action and reinforce security across the theatre.

Acting on credible intelligence, NAF aircraft successfully struck a confirmed terrorist stronghold within the Joint Operations Area, disrupting the activities of criminal elements and degrading their operational capability. In a separate intelligence-led mission around Kidandan, NAF aircraft successfully neutralised terrorists after positively identifying their movement within the area. Follow-up reconnaissance over Fatika and Sabuwa confirmed the absence of further terrorist activity, while sustained aerial surveillance continued in support of friendly ground forces and ongoing operations across the theatre.
