Two very different triples last night. TE standing on 3rd waiting for the ball to get to the infield. DF HR trotting to 1st and then having to head first slide to beat the throw, risking injury. Worked out last night but eventually...details matter.

I think Tommy Edman needs to be hitting here. Improves both your outfield and infield defense when you put Munoz in right and Edman at 3rd, and gives you a better at bat.

Tonight, I'm ignoring the shutout and focusing on the hard-hit balls. The fact that we have a few is a small win to me. To some that may seem like a desperate attempt to find something to like. That's only because...it's a desperate attempt to find something to like.

@stl_nation Dont disagree. But he is a small Bafer-tot when compared to the massive crashes of core players. If Carp, Goldy, et al start flying again then I'll focus more on Bader's clipped wings. Of course, then I'll be saying 'who cares if can hit...we need his defense.' 🙂

@zjgifford 100% agree. Time for him to admit to himself that 60% of him is not better than 100% of (insert name here). He is a Cardinal icon and will one day be in HOF but when one player is bigger than the team, there are problems...and not just with the player.

In only 1 other div in MLB would the cards be within 10 games of 1st (NL East - 7.5). That's not good. We are only 2.5 out of the WC, but 6 teams are in front of us. Also not good. Hope someone finds the switch and flips it over the AS break. 2nd 1/2 could get even UGLIER!
