The Nigerian equities market closed the week on a flat note, as the NGX All Share Index (ASI) recorded no change at 0.00%, settling at 243,958.73. Nonetheless, the index continues to deliver strong performance in 2026, with year-to-date gains holding at an impressive 55.89%.

Market activity weakened, with total turnover declining sharply by 31.61% to ₦15.30 billion. Market breadth remained mildly positive at 1.12x, supported by 38 advancing stocks compared to 34 decliners, while trading volume was relatively balanced—76 stocks recorded gains in volume against 71 that declined.
