@SebC__ Maurizio Sarri tailored his Chelsea tactics around Eden Hazard.
"You can't start with a system and send players away or bring them in. We have to identify the two or three players who can make the difference," Sarri said
"The third step is to talk to the players, listen to them
@_itsNoble@CFCSwag In addition We finished 3rd from 5th, we had the 3rd best defense, scored the 5th most goals. The next season, Lampards first season though is looked as as impressive when in reality we performed much worse.
Sarris biggest failure is PR, because that's the only objective fail.
@_itsNoble@CFCSwag I never said it was all Sarri either. But saying, 2018/19 was an atrocity is definitely a subjective opinion which we can agree to disagree on π€πΎ
However the fact remains, Hazard, Ground, RLC, Odoi and Pedro all had their best or joint best scoring season that year.
@SebC__ Hazard is a great player no doubt, and Sarris time and Chelsea would definitely not be as successful without him. But let's not pretend that a coach doesn't drastically shift the odds in terms of opportunities.

@SebC__ I don't think empowering is the right word. I'd use enabling.
The coach has the ensure the ball arrives to the player in the right conditions for his ability to shine through.
@SebC__ But Sarris philosophy isn't just "two touches, lay the ball back".
Sarri likes his team's to play very vertical progressive football, once they create the space. He employs the third man concept to allow runners in behind.
@SebC__ I definitely agree with you on that point, but Good Managers need Good Players, and vice versa. The coach creates the environment for the players to thrive.
@SebC__ In addition, how do you explain Pedro, Loftus Cheek, Hudson Odoi, and Giroud all also having their best scoring or joint best under Sarri. Morata was also on pace to have his best scoring season if he didn't leave in January.
