A serious violation is unfolding on land belonging to the Archaeology Department. where an ancient fort site near Darhali Morh is reportedly being encroached upon. Heavy machinery is operating day and night, carrying out illegal excavation work, while the Revenue Department remains completely silent. Locals allege that this historic and protected land is being destroyed under official neglect. Residents have urged the Deputy Commissioner of Rajouri to immediately intervene, stop the illegal activity, and take strict action to preserve the area’s archaeological and cultural heritage before it suffers irreversible damage.
