@BKNJets@MLSist Correct and if folks thought he wasn’t slotted to start before he was named captain haven’t been paying attention. When Tim’s there in camp, which is always, he plays.
@MLSist Not sure why folks panties are in a wad about this. You could see this coming. And you can pretty much believe - based on the last two years, that unless Tim is hurt he is playing. He’s got his flaws, so does everyone else - except for CR. And he might be limited anyway.
@Sportsfreek5567@MLSist He’s Poch’s guy. He is the leader in the room and has been for a while imo. When Roger Bennett asked Tim Weah recently who he thought would be captain, he said Ream before Adams. If this is a surprise to folks, you haven’t been paying attention
@AlasdairGold JP only works as a player in a system that has ball progressive players around him in the middle. We do not have that currently. And it’s been the biggest problem for the team all year.
@peet2 This 100 percent. It’s not a handball. And neither was the one on Mendes because Laimar committed a handball before it touched Mendes. People are frustrated with the rules in general being obtuse and changed year to year. I get that. But the Neves non call was correct.
@peet2 But - he has kept them in games and won them games where he was the best player on the team entire field by being arguably the best GK in the world at saving shots. Without him and with Trafford, they would not be in this spot.
@stuholden The defended generally with 5 in the Belgium game and it didn’t look great. I think it also matters who is where in terms of personnel with regard to the defensive shape.
@ViktorAkadra@ByDougMcIntyre So in this shape you laid out - where is Freeman? He’s the RB and Jedi is the left. It’s the same shape as last game, although the attack and defend in diff shapes than the one I listed.
@pkedit The could have easily fixed this uniform mess but having Belgium wear red. It would have been more distinct. Or have the U.S. wear the dark blue/black. It’s dumb.
@stuholden You can’t play advantage when they both ended up fouling. And the goal/no goal absolutely matters if City can catch up to Arsenal. So the call was correct an should not have been allowed to “play on”.
@peet2 The PL script writers have the dream scenario of Man U losing to floundering West Ham of all teams. Should have waited to book that appointment.
