@SmythWalt35235 @RealJustinSla @john_mcguirk Modern power lines are underground. We have most of the lines overhead hand on old-fashioned wooden pole. The downside is that overhead lines are more susceptible to be brought down by wind, freezing rain, lightning, falling trees....
They just use it becouse is cheaper.

@RealJustinSla @john_mcguirk Great point. Exactly. Same with bit of heat. +23 degree - red warning issued, as infrastructure is bad. Lack of water reservoir. Leaky Water network etc.
-2 degree bit of snow country shutdown. No transport working. Obviously no snow plugs no road gritters.

Most of those 3 bilion are made by legal EU migrants: Polish,UK who are biggest minortiest here, plus other Eastern Europe minorities which come to Ireland. as free movement and work within EU. It's quite important factor.
