If people are now casually arguing that Karachi can be detached from Sindh through some historical “notification” logic, then Sindhis have every right to ask a much more uncomfortable question: if our relationship with the federation is apparently so negotiable, why is Sindh’s relationship with Pakistan treated as eternally non negotiable?

We joined Jinnah’s Pakistan. We did not join a Pakistan where an unaccountable punjabis-led military establishment gets to decide every few decades what Sindh should look like. Sindh is older than Pakistan, and its territorial integrity is not some administrative file sitting in Islamabad waiting for another notification.

Your obsessive hostility towards a Muslim ruler quickly turned into attacks on Islam, the Quran and Islamic law, so I made an inference from your own rhetoric. Codswallop! Since you are so fond of asking “which book?”, perhaps we should apply your own standard consistently. Which book says a woman is never fit for independence and must remain under her father, husband or sons? Manusmriti 9.3. Which book says one trustworthy man can testify but not even many women because women’s understanding is supposedly unstable? Manusmriti 8.77. Which book says a Shudra may be compelled into servile work because he was created for service? Manusmriti 8.413. Which book lists war captives, purchased persons and inherited persons among seven categories of slaves? Manusmriti 8.415.

Should I therefore cherry pick these passages and declare that every Hindu today supports misogyny, caste oppression and slavery? No….because that would be intellectually dishonest. Ancient religious and legal traditions have complicated histories and have to be understood in context.

And that is precisely the point you keep missing. Nobody was vouching for Lodhi. KBC asked who founded the Lodhi dynasty. Knowing a historical fact is not endorsing the person involved. A contestant winning money for knowing the answer does not magically transform the historical figure into someone being celebrated.

You began by accusing KBC of glorifying lodhi. When that argument collapsed, you moved to lodhi’s alleged atrocities, then Islamic law, then slavery, women and religious insinuations. You are no longer even defending your original claim. You are simply advertising your prejudice while pretending it is historical analysis. So perhaps before asking me “which book?”, read your own books and, more importantly, learn the difference between studying history and glorifying it, you fucking idiot.

For far too long we have tolerated them mocking our language, our culture, our history and even calling us ghair muqami in Karachi. Now they have the audacity to openly discuss cutting Karachi away from Sindh and expect us to treat it as some administrative or governance debate.

And yes, we should answer them. Every lie, on every platform. I am tired of hearing the same ridiculous story that Sindhis were supposedly slaves before 1947, that we had no civilisation worth speaking of, and that mohajirs somehow arrived and liberated us. They have been repeating a lie for generations to make people start mistaking it for history. That is exactly why Sindhis need to know their history well enough to give a shut up call whenever this bullshit is repeated.

You are also right that we need to awaken our own people. Sindhi youth should be encouraged to study, work, build businesses and settle in Karachi. It is Sindh’s capital and its biggest economic centre. Why should a young Sindhi from Larkana, Sukkur, Dadu, Khairpur or Thar ever be made to feel like an outsider for coming to Karachi? We need to own our city by actually participating in its economic, cultural and civic life.

Maybe our tolerance has too often been mistaken for weakness. Sindh’s sufi character and peaceful culture should never mean remaining silent while our history is mocked or our territorial integrity is questioned. It is time to awaken Sindhis, know our history, answer every lie confidently and never again allow anyone to make Sindhis feel like strangers in Sindh.

Your claim was that KBC was “glorifying” Lodi. I pointed out that asking who founded a dynasty is a factual history question, not glorification. Now you are desperately asking whether Lodi was a murderer and whether he will go to hell, which has absolutely nothing to do with your original claim. A history quiz can ask about Hitler, Stalin or Genghis Khan without glorifying any of them. So no, my response does not prove I am biased. I am not being biased. You are simply being a hater.

Wajih calling him panahgeer because Imtiaz migrated to the US proves absolutely nothing. Imtiaz is an immigrant in America, Sindhi ethnically and Chandio by tribe/clan. One describes his migration status; the others describe where his identity and ancestry come from.

Moving from Sindh to America does not magically erase his Sindhi or Chandio identity. So Wajih beta before trying to be clever with the word panahgeer, at least understand the fucking difference between migration status, ethnicity and tribal identity. 😂

I am actually glad my reply taught you the difference between a 24 hour rainfall total and a one hour rainfall rate. You started with “200mm in Pindi” and, after being corrected, have now returned with “122mm in one hour.”

But your 122mm figure is visibly citing sources from Facebook. Show me the actual PMD station record confirming 122mm in one hour, if you can.

I love how discreetly you completely dropped Karachi from your argument. Your original claim was that Karachi gets submerged after just 50mm. During the 2025 rains, Karachi stations recorded well over 100mm, including roughly 163.5mm near the airport and 178mm in northeastern Karachi.

I understand you hate PPP. There is plenty to criticise them for. But at least do not let your political prejudice choose the rain gauge for you.

Rawalpindi did NOT receive 250mm in one hour. It received roughly 200mm over a multi hour spell and the city still flooded badly. Karachi’s major 2025 flooding was also not caused by some imaginary 50mm total…different stations recorded roughly 80 to 178mm, with even higher local totals reported. Meanwhile Nagoya actually recorded 104.5mm in a single hour. At least understand the difference between hourly rainfall intensity and an event total. Criticise PPP all you want, but at least stop inventing your own fucking meteorology to do it.
