🚨🎙️ Sergio Ramos on the criticism Cristiano Ronaldo receives:
"The criticism and negativity Cristiano Ronaldo gets from some pundits is starting to look personal. Every time Portugal plays, the conversation somehow always comes back to Ronaldo.
Some of these people retired at 35 or 37, yet they constantly question a player who is still competing at the highest level. If it was so easy, why didn't they continue playing themselves?
It sometimes feels like certain people are waiting for Cristiano to fail just so they can blame him and mock him. But what exactly are they mocking? This is a player who has achieved almost everything football can offer. His legacy is already written in the history of the game.
You don't have to like Ronaldo, that's your choice. But you have to respect what he has accomplished. Many of those criticizing him never reached the level he has maintained for over two decades.
What surprises me is that Portugal has many talented players, yet after every game the discussion is always about Ronaldo. If you think he should retire, that's your opinion, but constantly talking about him only shows how important he still is to football.
Cristiano Ronaldo has nothing left to prove. He has earned respect from everyone who loves this sport."
@playwithtomide Bro, this is more than banter. The treatment Cristiano Ronaldo is getting from his Portugal teammates is unfair. Let’s be honest with ourselves.
🚨 Arsenal are preparing an opening bid for Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola.
The Gunners are currently gathering information and finalising details internally, with Mikel Arteta keen to strengthen his attack after last season.
PSG would prefer to keep the France international, but Arsenal believe a deal could be possible for a fee between £70M and £87M as they continue to assess their summer options.
