If I am not wrong the USN itself is inducting F/A-18 Super Hornet Blk-3 & F-15 latest variants.

The whole world is still procuring 4.5th gen. 4.5th gen isn't gonna obsolete anytime soon. Be it Rafale F4/5 or Tejas Mk-2

We must look at this from another angle. When @VishnuNDTV says that Tejas Mk1A/Mk2 could be “obsolete on arrival,” a few important questions naturally arise:

What timeframe is he referring to?
Against which specific technologies or threats is this assessment being made?
Does he hold a similar view about Rafale F4 and other contemporary 4.5-generation fighters?
Is this assessment based on inputs from the IAF, simulations, operational analysis, or war-gaming outcomes?

We should keep the discussion respectful and focus on asking meaningful questions. That is how a healthy debate develops, where different perspectives are examined, assumptions are challenged, and everyone learns something new.
