One of the subtypes of rituals I'm working on for Dark Era 963: Roleplaying in the Dark Ages, are Curses.
Actual evil magical Curses.
Like all rituals a proper Curse takes time and planning.
What are some of your favourite Curse ideas?
Play testing of Dark Era 963: Fantasy role playing in the dark ages - went well. Noble plus a learned Saint Caller . Subtle hints of something wyrd as fhe duo head to a hamlet experience kidnapping of young women.
Started collecting concept art for Dark Era RPG 963 - fantasy role playing in the dark ages.
Found some of my original art could easily fit in a fantasy setting too.
Win.
Conquest Melbourne day 2
S1 - 4 players. Won
S2 - 4 players. Won with an hour game time to spare!!!!
Session 2 I trialled 2 actions a character and it worked very well.
So in a story I'm writing the hero found a device either three coloured buttons
Red blue and green
I'm leaning yo an alien thememed Morse code using those three colours..
Any ideas?
And how do I work out the combo amount again? 3x3x3 ? 27?
I'm looking for an artist who can draw images like these (does not need to be an exact match in style). Will need to have good character design skills. This will be for a techno-magical fantasy RPG.
> Artist, please post up 1-4 samples of your work ๐จ
> Please feel free to ping an artists and/or share ๐
Drafting up some colours for the Creet character. I will have to change those metal bands on his beard (as they're all about stone, wood and leather... metal is a material of the gods, and they don't trust gods).

So we've been working on Dark Era for about 4 or so years now having originally conceptualised it way back in 1999.
So what is Dark Era? A scifi TTRPG set in 1963.

Another great session of Dark Era with two pcs.
A lot of fun with links between pirate treasure and alien galaxies.
What came out of it is light and how effective torches are when navigating tunnels and corridors.
And combat too.
What are your thoughts?
Thinking about advancement or level gain in ttrpgs. Dark Era used an experience point award system that players spend on improvements like traits or research.
Other Games uses level gain or rank gain of sorts that either give you fixed improvements or options.
Your preference?
